We are currently re-energizing our organization including the reorganization of our committee structure. We are looking for dedicated volunteers to both Chair and participate in various MN GreenStar Committees.

If you have:

1) Passion for the MN GreenStar cause
2) Time Availability to actively participate in a Committee
3) Experience/Expertise in the Committee of choice

Marketing and Public Relations

Education

Technical

1) To maintain credibility, functionality and accuracy of the MN GreenStar standards and platforms.
2) To develop new tools and resources consistent with standards as defined by Research and Development committees and the Board of Directors

Research and Development
Committee Chair - Incumbent

1) Facilitate the research and recommend to the Board of Directors business/product/service concepts to achieve strategic objectives
2) Transition concepts approved by the Board of Directors to the appropriate staff, task force or Technical Committee for development


Committee Chair Roles and Responsibilities

The Committee Chair is responsible and accountable for the objectives of the respective Committee with duties as follows:

• Chair all committee meetings
• Maintain a positive and rewarding environment for volunteers
• Develop appropriate subcommittee structure as appropriate to productively to fulfill objectives
• Solicit and select appropriate volunteer and staff members to serve on respective committees and subcommittees
• Create an annual tactical plan in accordance with the organization’s strategic plan, goals and objectives
• Create and recommend an operational budget to deliver upon tactical plan
• Maintain operational budget as approved by the Board of Directors
• Work with the Executive Director and related Board of Director liaisons to coordinate activities and communicate progress of objectives
• Maintain current and accurate and timely notes of meetings and actions
• Serve as an advocate for the respective Committee(s) and the organization
• Minimum Time Commitment – one standing team meeting per month, progress communication with respective liaison/staff, additional time as required to fulfill objectives
