Fundraising Committee Intern

Minnesota GreenStar® is seeking a highly organized and task-oriented individual to help provide task resource support for our Fundraising Committee. The goal of the Fundraising Committee is to facilitate the acquisition of organization funds from grants and sponsorship to help achieve strategic goals.

This part-time, unpaid internship role will have key accountability to the Fundraising Committee Chair and will work with staff as needed to accomplish goals.

Primary tasks include:

• Populate list of contacts for pre-developed sponsorship prospect list 
• Research prospect’s sustainability initiatives and alignment with the MN GreenStar mission
• Attend Fundraising Committee meetings 
• Provide task resource support for the Fundraising Committee

Qualifications:

• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Self-starter with the ability to work independently
• Fundraising acquisition experience helpful

Must have availability the 3rd Tuesday of the month from 2-4pm to attend committee meetings.

Membership & Affiliates Committee Intern

Minnesota GreenStar is seeking a creative, outgoing, self-starter with a passion for sustainable lifestyles to help develop Membership meetings with the Membership & Affiliates Committee. The goal of the Membership & Affiliates Committee is to increase and enhance membership recruitment and establish and maintain alliances, affiliates and partnerships.

This part-time, unpaid internship role will have key accountability to the Membership & Affiliates Committee Chair and will work with staff as needed to accomplish goals.

Primary tasks include:

• Generate ideas for fun, sustainably-focused, monthly membership meetings and quarterly events
• Facilitate donations for membership meeting prizes and awards
• Attend Membership & Affiliates Committee meetings
• Provide task resource support for the Membership & Affiliates Committee

Qualifications:

• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Fun, upbeat attitude
• Event planning experience helpful

Must have availability the third Wednesday of the each month, 5-7pm, to attend member meetings.

Marketing Committee Interns

Minnesota GreenStar is seeking two creative, task-oriented design thinkers to provide task resource support to the Marketing Committee. The goal of the Marketing Committee is to create, grow and maintain market awareness to achieve MN GreenStar’s strategic objectives.

This part-time, unpaid internship role will have key accountability to the Marketing Committee Chair and will work with staff as needed to accomplish goals.

Position 1

Primary tasks include:

• Create and edit short videos for marketing use on our website
• Attend Marketing Committee meetings
• Provide task resource support for the Marketing Committee

Qualifications:

• Proven proficiency in video creation and editing
• Experience with website design and layout, including HTML
• Motivated, self-starter with positive attitude

Position 2

Primary tasks include:

• Create promotional flyers including design, layout and editing
• Attend Marketing Committee meetings
• Provide task resource support for the Marketing Committee

Qualifications:

• Experience in graphic design and layout
• Experience with website design and layout, including HTML
• Motivated, self-starter with positive attitude
